Floating litter doesn't spread out evenly. It gathers where water is calm and people are close — marinas, harbors, berths. That's exactly where WaterBin goes to work.
The product
One bin. Four jobs.
Zero drama.
WaterBin floats at the dock and runs quietly through the day. A pump moves water; a filter keeps what shouldn't be there.

Skim
The rim rides right at the waterline. A pump draws surface water — and everything floating on it — over the edge and into the bin.

Catch
Water passes through a catch filter inside. Plastic, litter and debris stay behind. Water keeps moving.

Return
Filtered water flows back into the marina below the surface. Nothing but clean water leaves the bin.

Empty. Repeat.
Lift the filter, tip it into the bin on the dock, log the haul, drop it back in. Then WaterBin gets back to work.

The UAE put climate

WaterBin is an independent Abu Dhabi startup building in step with the country's environmental agenda — turning national commitments into hardware you can bolt to a pontoon.
The UAE hosted the UN climate summit where nearly 200 nations agreed the UAE Consensus — the first global climate deal to call for transitioning away from fossil fuels.
The first country in the Middle East to commit to net-zero emissions — with clean water and healthy coasts part of the national vision.
"Today for Tomorrow" — the UAE dedicated 2023–24 to making sustainability an everyday practice, not an annual pledge.
Our lane in that agenda is the waterfront: litter stops at the marina — collected, counted, kept out of the Gulf.

From Abu Dhabi,

WaterBin started in Abu Dhabi in 2025 with one goal: stop floating litter where it gathers, before the tide carries it out.
Phase 1 put prototype v1 in the water at a marina in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi. The Gulf answered — heat, salinity, dust — and showed us exactly what had to change. So we rebuilt it. The redesigned WaterBin, carrying more advanced tech, enters Phase 2 trials in Abu Dhabi next.
